Membership Requirements

  • Dully filled entrance form. A fully filled registration form can be hand delivered to the office or scanned and sent to the email info@stablefortunes.com
  • 1 copy of National ID
  • Passport photo
  • KRA pin
  • Entrance Fee of Ksh.1,000
  • Save a minimum of Kes 1,000 every month.

Members Deposits

  • Minimum monthly deposit is Kes.1,000
  • Member deposits are refundable upon termination of membership as per the SACCO by-laws
  • Higher member deposits give you higher borrowing power
  • Deposits are used as collateral while borrowing from Stable Fortunes Sacco. All member deposits are refundable 60 days after receiving an official letter from a member. This is subject to clearance of all debts and replacement of guarantors, in case a member has guaranteed other members loans which have not been repaid fully.
  • Member deposits are used as security against loans

Share capital

  • To be recognized shareholder and to earn dividends as a member, you need to pay a share capital of Kes 10,000.
  • Each share is 20/-
  • Minimum shares per member is 500.
  • This amount payable monthly in bits of Kes 1,000 till it adds up to ten thousand.
  • You can as well pay share capital as a lump sum.
  • If you have more shares in terms of share capital you will earn higher dividends.
  • A member is allowed to own more shares as long as they don’t exceed 20% of the total share capital of all the other members.
  • Share capital is transferable at a fee upon termination of membership. Share capital is not refundable.
  • Share capital earns dividends at the end of the year.

  2. The savings can be accessed by the contributor or the child upon maturity. That is when the child is 18 years of age or above.
